Fruit trees and harvesting

Heirloom Mixology adds fruit trees and palms whose hanging fruit grows visibly as it ripens. Use the addon with its matching Heirloom Core build.

Plant and harvest

Plant Lemon, Orange, Mango or Avocado on suitable sapling soil, or a vanilla Apple for an apple tree. Plant Coconut and Bananas on Sand to grow palms. Grove and Tropical starter packets, configurable world drops and chest loot provide survival acquisition routes.

Let hanging fruit ripen, or use bonemeal to advance its growth. Fruit gets visibly bigger as it matures, and harvested nodes begin growing again. Normal protection checks still apply.

A small harvesting trick

You can also knock ripe hanging fruit down with an arrow. Aim at the fruit itself; a successful hit releases one harvest with break particles. The dropped fruit keeps its quality.

Pineapple grows separately as an upright fruit in a short fern. Turn harvested produce into two bottles at the Juicer, then use pure juices at the Mixology Table.
