What Is Cosmonautics?
Cosmonautics turns a Paper survival server into a player-built space program. Progress begins with launch infrastructure on Earth, expands into orbital flight and optional Station operations, and leads to a complete expedition to the Moon.
The plugin is built around physical preparation. Players craft life-support equipment, construct launch sites, supply real building materials and propellant, board animated vehicles, and learn to survive environments where gravity and breathable air can no longer be taken for granted.

The core journey
- Reveal the Space Program advancement tab and establish Mission Control.
- Produce Rocket Fuel and Oxidizer while preparing the 10 × 10 launch site.
- Assemble and board an Artemis rocket.
- Equip a sealed suit and carry Oxygen Canisters.
- Fly directly to the Moon, or visit the optional orbital Station first.
- Explore lunar terrain and catacombs, then establish a breathable habitat.
- Fuel the lander's ascent stage and return to Earth.
Designed for survival servers
Cosmonautics keeps its systems inside the Minecraft world. Pressure depends on sealed spaces. Station machinery depends on power. Rockets require preparation. Advancements explain the intended journey without locking commands, recipes, or travel behind the advancement screen.
Interactive tutorials demonstrate major systems with client-only blocks, entities, interfaces, and items. They never alter the real world or a player's inventory.
Current release scope
The supported early-access journey covers Earth, optional Station content, and the Moon. Mars, Europa, the Asteroid Belt, and Vulcanus remain visible as coming soon but are not accessible in release builds.
